It combines a robust ladder frame chassis, authentic suspension, and a three-speed transmission for engaging driving and towing of compatible tractor trucks.

Authentic Body Design

The body of the Volvo FH16 Tow Truck captures the distinctive form and presence of the real vehicle with highly detailed molded plastic panels, a finely reproduced front grille, and authentic cab features that reflect the scale and character of the original commercial truck. Chassis & Suspension

The RC Volvo FH16 Tow Truck uses a ladder frame chassis built with aluminum side channels and resin cross members for strength and scale realism. Suspension on both the front and rear is accomplished with metal leaf springs paired with friction dampers for a realistic truck feel on paved surfaces. This setup supports the weight and towing functions of the model while maintaining smooth, predictable movement during driving and cornering.

Drivetrain

The drivetrain features a front-mounted TR Mighty-Tuned motor driving the two rear axles through a three-speed transmission, allowing gear changes from the transmitter for versatile performance. Power is carried to the rear via a propeller shaft with built-in differential gears for smooth drivability and reliable traction during driving and towing.
