The AVALON VORTEX body is currently attracting a great deal of attention on the racetracks – but its distinctive front end also presents new challenges in terms of supporting and stiffening the body.
The long front end, which extends far forward, creates a comparatively large gap between the front bumper and the body. To ensure that the front end retains its shape under aerodynamic loads and does not deform downwards at high speeds, reliable support is essential.
This area is usually filled with foam. However, given the large gaps in the central section of the VORTEX, foam reaches its limits. It can give way, shift position and thus result in less consistent conditions at the front of the car.
Even before the official market launch of the bodywork, we therefore developed a suitable solution: the MXLR FlexFill Body Inserts for the AVALON VORTEX.
Made from TPU, these inserts are specifically tailored to the shape and angles of the VORTEX front end. This ensures they fit the bodywork perfectly and are compatible with both the MXLR FlexBumpers and most standard touring car front bumpers.
They are easily fitted using thin double-sided adhesive tape (not included) directly to the inside of the bodywork.
The complete set weighs just approx. 2.3 g. By way of comparison: the amount of foam required for the same area weighs around 1.9 g. The difference in weight is therefore minimal, whilst the stability and dimensional accuracy of the front end are significantly improved.

Note on fit
The actual fit depends on various factors, such as the rammer used, the body position, the vehicle rake (angle of attack) and other individual settings.
The inserts have been designed to be as universal as possible and fit most standard touring cars when the body is mounted in a neutral position. To ensure they are suitable for your vehicle, we recommend measuring the gap between the body and the bumper and comparing it with the dimensions given above.
