A supersonic fighter, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat twin-engine aircraft seats two crew members: an aviator and a Radar Intercept Officer. The Tomcat has operated only with the US Navy and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The nickname “Tomcat” stems from the call sign of Vice Admiral Thomas Connolly, who ascribed to the USN’s tradition of naming Grumman aircraft with feline monikers. This model faithfully recreates the F-14D Tomcat. The kit contains over 60 parts; the finished model is 13.3cm long and 13.6cm wide.
